Seal of Biliteracy
The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by the Hawai‘i State Department of Education that recognizes students who have demonstrated a high level of proficiency in either of the State’s two official languages and at least one additional language.
Congratulations to all 45 seniors who have proven to be academically proficient in more than one language this year.
From Hilo High School, 15 seniors have received awards in: French, Ilocano, Tagalog, Japanese, ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, Spanish and Yapese.
