May Day Last Minute Tickets

Do you still need tickets to our evening May Day Hōʻike that is happening next week Friday? Well, you are in luck! We still have some general seating tickets for $5 for sale. Come to Kumu Heatherʻs room in R20 during morning and lunch recess OR after school at the office starting Wednesday-May 8th until we run out. Better get them quick, before we run out! Mahalo nui loa and see you at the show!

May Day Scavenger Hunt

Aloha kākou! May Day is finally here! For this week, the May Day committee has prepared a scavenger riddle for each day starting TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, till Thursday, May 16th! This year, we will be giving a riddle for each day, and you will submit your answer in the google form that will open tomorrow. The winners for each day will be announced at our Hōʻike Lā Mei lot this Friday, May 17th. We hope that you all participate! Mahalo!

Seal of Biliteracy

The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by the Hawai‘i State Department of Education that recognizes students who have demonstrated a high level of proficiency in either of the State’s two official languages and at least one additional language.
Congratulations to all 45 seniors who have proven to be academically proficient in more than one language this year.
From Hilo High School, 15 seniors have received awards in: French, Ilocano, Tagalog, Japanese, ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, Spanish and Yapese.
