Aloha kākou! May Day is finally here! For this week, the May Day committee has prepared a scavenger riddle for each day starting TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, till Thursday, May 16th! This year, we will be giving a riddle for each day, and you will submit your answer in the google form that will open tomorrow. The winners for each day will be announced at our Hōʻike Lā Mei lot this Friday, May 17th. We hope that you all participate! Mahalo!
The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by the Hawai‘i State Department of Education that recognizes students who have demonstrated a high level of proficiency in either of the State’s two official languages and at least one additional language. Congratulations to all 45 seniors who have proven to be academically proficient in more than one language this year. From Hilo High School, 15 seniors have received awards in: French, Ilocano, Tagalog, Japanese, ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, Spanish and Yapese.
